The English Whisky Small Batch Rum Cask

The English Rum Cask Matured is a very special whisky made from a unique process at The English Distillery. Our single malt whisky matures for many years in casks that previously held rum, which had been maturing at the distillery for over a decade before giving up its cask for the whisky to sleep in. The result is a wonderfully creamy Small Batch malt that is a perennial favourite with the distillery team, with its aroma and taste evoking rum-and-raisin ice cream.

On the nose you pick up ripe bananas, creamy vanilla ice cream, raisins and rich caramel. The palate brings tropical fruit is balanced against soft caramel and gentle rum notes. & a medium to long finish with a lovely, gentle, rum mouth coating.
