Brandy & Cognac are aged spirits made using grapes or fruit rather than grain which can also be flavoured with the fruit or other flavourings. Usually, brandies with a natural golden or dark colour are aged in single oak casks.
Cognac is a variety of brandy named after the commune of Cognac, France. It is produced in the surroundings of the wine growing region in the areas of Charente & Charente-Maritime.
