Lochlea Ploughing Edition First Crop

The fourth & final in an annual series of limited seasonal bottlings' the Lochlea 'Ploughing Edition' (First Crop). reflects the season of winter on the farm, when we start to plough the fields in preparation for sowing the barley seed in spring. Lochleahave now created a warming, smoky version using ex Islay barrels & peated quarter casks. The icy blue label refects the bitterly cold & frosty Ayrshire winters.

Baked fruit with light peat smoke on the nose followed by old fashioned boiled sweets, cooked apple & Brazil nuts on the palate with a lingering fruit & nuttiness of peat smoke to finish.
