Glenallachie Chinquapin Barrel 13 Year Old

Hand-selected by Master Distiller Billy Walker, this 14-year-old expression is part of the fifth batch of the UK-exclusive Single Cask series. Each specially selected release demonstrates the exceptional casks to be found in GlenAllachie’s warehouses and Walker’s meticulous approach to wood management which sees him use his experience and expertise to steer the unique interaction of wood, spirit and subsequent flavour development.

Bottled at 58.3%, unchilfiltered and natural colour, only 251 bottles are available.

The nose offers waves of heather honey, butterscotch and orange peel, with figs, ginger and nutmeg. This follows into tasting notes of layers of soft spices, heather honey and orchard fruits, followed by cinnamon, ginger and pineapple.
