This Mezcal is produced by the fourth generation master, Ignacio Martinez and his family. Using traditional methods, the agave is roasted in wood-fired ground wells and ground with tahona pulled by horses. It's fermented with natural yeasts in open vats and first distilled in small copper stills. After standing in oak barrels for 3-6 months, traditional Mexican grass Damiana just before the second distillation stills stainless steel alloy and copper is added. It is one of only mezcals on the market that uses Damiana, a traditional herb that thrives in the same regions as the agave.
It's a clean liquor with a smooth profile and subtle botanical notes. Damiana notes proprietary herbal highlights that are balanced with roast profile agave well rounded.
